California Quake Rattled Nerves but Didn’t Appear to Cause Major Damage

It’s very devastating to see all of it.
Many still rattled and on edge as the aftershocks keep coming.
We don’t know whether there’s going to be a big one after it.
So when one comes, we try to get closer to the table.
If a big one comes, we know to go duck under.
Many homes remain unlivable as business owners attempt to clean up.
The violent shaking causing a huge mess at grocery stores tossing merchandise from shelves for the second time in two days.
We felt around 10 or 11 aftershocks.
And each one, you know, they’re still scary because you almost don’t know is this going to be a full earthquake.
Roger Sandoval owns a local gas station.
This thing may put me out of business.
Still, he’s making the best out of this difficult time.
Business for Sandoval is actually busier than usual.
Customers drawn by his fresh homemade burritos.
Another one of the few businesses open.
This local pizza shop had a line down the block on Saturday.
Meanwhile, crews working around the clock repairing roads split apart by Friday’s massive tremor.
Fire officials making the rounds, checking homes and businesses for any structural damage.
They’re going to grid this whole city.
And that way that we can check all the infrastructures of all the buildings and making sure that they’re safe for the citizens.
As fault lines grow, so does fear for so many in the area.
My three-year-old, he doesn’t really know.
So every time he feels like a movement or he hears a loud noise, he’ll come and run up to me and grab me like really close and won’t let go.
