Eddie Irizarry: Philadelphia officer charged with fatal shooting of motorist

Turning out of Philadelphia were authorities released new video of a deadly police shooting
that sparked outrage in the city.
The officer who fired multiple shots at Eddie
Eresar,
a last month,
turned himself in today.
CBS’s objectives in Philadelphia with the new
details and we do want to warn you that the video is hard to watch.
During a traffic stop last month,
the incident was initially caught on surveillance camera showing
Eresaree driving the wrong way down a one-way street.
After the officer’s arrive,
Dile,
who was riding in the passenger seat,
jumps out of the police cruiser with his gun
drawn.
Five seconds later,
he fired six times into the vehicle.
Shot five,
shot five.
Eresaree is then placed in the back of a police cruiser.
In driven by Dile to an area hospital where he later died.
Today,
Dile turned himself in.
He’s facing seven counts including murder.
I think that the videos speak for themselves.
Dile’s defense attorney calls the charges appalling.
In no world is those facts murder.
We intend to write this wrong.
This decision today puts police officers in peril.
But statements by police immediately after the shooting that Eresaree lunged at them with a knife
or not supported by the evidence.
Eresaree’s aunts says they pushed to get the videos released.
What do you think is legacy?
He’s going to be.
That was very special to us.
And it’s a shame that it was such a senseless killer.
Dile posted $50,000
and was released on bail.
The other officer involved has not been charged.
Nora.
Jeff Begase.
Thank you.
